The Tahoma Farms CSA box is our single-source, 100% direct-from-the-farm box option. For 26 weeks – from the beginning of June through Thanksgiving – we select the seed, plant, grow, harvest and deliver the best vegetables and fruits all from our farm in Orting, WA.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a movement to bring farmers and families together through food. By being a member in our CSA program, you will directly support Tahoma Farms – a first-generation family farm located 20 miles Southeast of Tacoma in Orting – and we will provide you with the convenience of freshly-harvested, seasonal organic produce delivered to your door.
We offer great variety, featuring over 50 different crops and more than 100 different varieties throughout the season.
We host several events throughout the season at the farm, offering you the opportunity to come out and see first-hand where your food is grown.
We offer you the flexibility of customizing each box through the Terra Organics web store and the ability to start and stop as you wish, schedule a vacation mid-season and pay as you go.
As a member in our CSA program you will:
- Support local, organic agriculture and a small family farm.
- Eat only the freshest food harvested a day or two before it is delivered to you.
- Connect with your local farmers and eat seasonally.
Cost
- Starting June 1st, $29 per week for a small box, $45 for a large box. If you choose to pay in full for the season, you’ll receive a 5% discount, or you can choose to pay as you go. (Save $3 by picking up at a community location.) We also offer bi-weekly (every other week) service, as well as the option to get a box just once a month.
